Framed by two of the so-called "Urwaldgebieten" Mittelsteighütte and Hans Watzlik-Wald, the Scharnagl is an oasis of relaxation and nature awareness. Next to the reservation Naturzschutzgebiet Bayerischer Wald you will use our hotel as a basecamp for your expeditions to Bayerisch and Böhmisch Eisenstein, to the small and the great Falkenstein, to the great Arber and to endless amounts of other destinations in the area.
Taste the forest! The drinking water served in our hotel comes from the natural springs of the Falkenstein. The electricity comes from 100% revewable sources.
